Happy Valentines Day!
My daughters and I are having our own mini celebration today. We’re having our version of a fancy dinner, which I’m hoping will be a lot of fun for them. Other than that just a low key weekend.
On to some good posts from others.
From Dear Debt: What is Your Earliest Money Memory? I honestly have no idea what my earliest money memory is. I didn’t start taking money seriously until around age nineteen.
Eva @ Girl Counting Pennies writes about The Joy of Spending Money. And, I agree that if money is spent on the things that really matter to you that it can bring happiness.
I’m a big fan of Mr. Money Mustache and I especially enjoyed this post: Why the Middle Class Keeps Giving Itself the Shaft -which was a rebuttal to an article from The Guardian basically claiming it’s impossible to save enough money for retirement.
Jacob @ I Heart Budgets makes his case on why Used Cars are Not Money Pits. New Cars Are. All I know is that I’ve had a car payment once in my life and don’t want one ever again.
Over at Make Money Your Way Harry talks about How to Set Rates for Your Side Hustle. This can be hard to figure out and in my opinion, is a learn as you go type of thing.
Robert @ Money Bulldog goes over The Cheapest Places to Retire to While I’m nowhere near retirement it’s still a neat list to read.
Have a good weekend!
