What will they think of next? In an attempt to get people to save more there is a bill working it’s way through Washington’s legislature to enter people in drawings for every $25 they save in their account. If they win, they’d receive things like an Ipod or Itunes gift cards. UGH.
How about if we spend a bit more time highlighting why saving is a good idea and educate people on why it’s important to make your money work for you?

The priorities of our government turns my stomach. Instead, they should write a bill that would force people who don’t save a certain amount every year to listen to Dave Ramsey every day for a month.
But as much as I love Dave, I would still consider such a thing a horrible waste of my taxes.
That’s just weird. I have no idea why the legislature would think it’s their role to reward people for saving. In fact, don’t they always encourage us to SPEND more to help the economy? I guess after “cash for clunkers” anything is possible. UGH is right!
