Personal finance books are a great way to learn about your finances, understand your current situation and move towards actually making and hitting finance goals. While I’ve read a ton of books on the subject, these are my favorite books that are specifically meant to help women with their personal finances:
The Financial Diet: A Total Beginner’s Guide To Getting Good With Money by Chelsea Fagan
The Financial Diet: A Total Beginner’s Guide To Getting Good With Money is one of my favorite personal finance books for women who are just learning to understand their personal finances. It is truly a beginner’s guide that goes over everything from building a budget to renting or owning a home.
I particularly like this book because it combines practical information with quick-and-easy exercises that make you think about your finances and practical resources like spreadsheets that you can download from the website. If you’re a beginner this is the book I recommend.
You Are a Badass at Making Money by Jen Sincero
You Are a Badass at Making Money is one of my favorite personal finance books for those that need a kick in the pants when it comes to how you think about money. Sincero uses a great honest tone, her personal experience and funny stories to make this all come together.
One of the reasons why I love this book so much is because it was the first book that I picked up about personal finance. I read it cover to cover, twice, in about a week and have been recommending it to friends and family members ever since—I even gave a copy to my sister last Christmas.
Prince Charming Isn’t Coming: How Women Get Smart About Money By Barbara Stanny
If you’re looking for a female-focused book that breaks down the idea that you need a man to have great finances, then Prince Charming Isn’t Coming: How Women Get Smart About Money is for you.
This is one of those personal finance books that takes an honest look about how women historically have treated the idea of personal finance and marriage, and breaks down the belief that you need to get married and have some dude do your finances for you. No way girl, no way!
Million Dollar Women: The Essential Guide for Female Entrepreneurs Who Want to Go Big by Julia Pimsleur
Million Dollar Women: The Essential Guide for Female Entrepreneurs Who Want to Go Big is one of those personal finance books that’s aimed right at women with entrepreneurial spirits.
When it comes to business, women tend to think small but Pimsleur wants to change that. If you’re a woman who wants to make a difference in the world of business, I would highly recommend checking this book out. It’s time for you to start thinking like a million dollar woman!
