An interesting study was recently released reporting that 85% of Americans still use coupons. I honestly expected that number to be significantly lower seeing that at least from the outside looking in the coupon craze seemed to dramatically fade.
While I’m not a regular coupon user or deal chaser I definitely check around for sales during Christmas time.
Since that time of the year is now here I thought I’d share the sites I use to get amazing deals on Christmas gifts. Here are four deal sites you need to check out before Christmas shopping.
Hip2Save.com – Finding Deals
Hip2Save is a deal blog that has been around since 2008. It was started by Collin Morgan who was looking for a way to share the savings she found with her friends and family.
Out of all of the coupon blogs I’ve checked this one is by far the best. Collin only posts about items that come with significant savings and is often one of the first bloggers to report on new deals. You can also narrow down your searches by store, watch her savings videos, and search the coupon database to see if there’s a coupon available for anything you need.
TopCashBack.com – Earning Cash Back
If you’re going to use a cashback website (which is a smart idea) I highly recommend using TopCashBack.
A few months ago I compared the major cashback websites for a freelance assignment. TopCashBack had the highest cashback amounts overall. This is because their monetization strategy is very different than the other cashback sites.
While most cashback sites take a cut of the commissions they receive from you using their affiliate links TopCashBack passes along all the savings they get to you. Instead, they focus on alternate monetization methods such as sponsored listings and display advertisements.
Retail Me Not/Shop At Home – Online Coupon Codes
Retail Me Not and Shop At Home both offer coupon codes for hundreds of retailers. They often have the same coupon codes but sometimes one option is better than the other.
Since it only takes a few seconds to search each for a coupon code it may be worth your time to look into both for the best deals.
Gift Card Granny – Discounted Gift Cards
Gift Card Granny is a site that sells and buys unwanted gift cards. You can get gift cards to popular stores for up to 30% off the retail value. This makes Gift Card Granny worth checking out.
If you utilize all of these resources you can save yourself close to 50% off retail prices and save a whole lot of cash Christmas shopping!
