To get to this beautiful beach, you have to follow a long flight of steps cut into a natural gorge that opens into a long stretch of sand. The secluded nature of this beach means that there are no facilities available, so make sure to take water, snacks, and a parasol for shade with you when you go. On windy days, the waves are fabulous for surfing and wakeboarding.
Butterfly Valley Beach (near Fethiye)
Locals in the know love the sandy paradise of the Butterfly Valley beach. Bordered on each side by towering cliffs, the valley slowly widens out into a sandy beach and sparkling blue waters. The area abounds with stunning scenery and provides an experience that you will never forget. It is easier to access the beach by boat than traversing the rocky path from the road to the sandy stretch below, but the more adventurous may enjoy the hike and cooling off in the sapphire waters afterwards.
Gemiler Beach (near Hisaronu)
Beautiful Gemiler beach is located within a secluded bay and has a great view of St. Nicholas Island. If you wish, you can take a boat across the waters to see the ruins on the island. Gemiler beach is surrounded by pine and olive trees, giving the beach the unique scent of the woods and ocean spray combined. There are plenty of restaurants and facilities available nearby for you to find whatever you need.
Hisaronu Bay (near Hisaronu)
Hisaronu Bay is comprised of two pristine beaches and a small collection of shops, restaurants, and villas behind. Both of the beaches are popular for snorkeling and water sports. Stroll the country lanes or bask on the beach and watch the windsurfers all day. Every year windsurfing competitions take place in Hisaronu Bay, as it is considered one of the best windsurfing regions in Southern Turkey.
