Another week gone. It’s been a good one though.
The girls and I went to Chuck E. Cheese last night and there were only a couple other people there. Usually the place is so packed you have to push through a crowd. It was nice to feel like we had the whole place to ourselves.
The girls will be at their dads this weekend so I’m helping a friend with some DIYing with assistance from Homeclick. We’re going to demo a blue 1960’s bathroom. I really enjoy doing stuff like this so I’m kind of excited to rip apart the bathroom.
Good Posts From the Week
I’m always feeling frustrated when I read posts from others talking about how expensive it is to have kids. (Especially when these posts come from people who don’t have kids.) I firmly believe that unless there is some type of medical problem, raising a kid is only as expensive as you want it to be. Plus how can you put a price on parenthood? (I’m not saying everyone should have children or even want to have children. I just don’t see “children being an expense” as a reason not to have children. That’s all.)
I think raising children is one of the most overestimated costs there is. So, I was extremely happy to read Matt’s post The Only 21 Things Our Newborn Kids Have Ever Really Needed.

Thanks for the shout out! Man, I haven’t been to Chuck E Cheese in forever. I feel like it’ll be kind of a mixed blessing when my kids are old enough to enjoy places like that. Definitely some fun, but also one more thing to spend money on, haha. Hope you have a great weekend!

We actually don’t spend too much money at Chuck E Cheese. Usually around $30-$40 and my girls have a blast. They think it’s the greatest thing in the world lol
