It’s the last day of the month. Kind of hard to believe. Time really does go by fast.
I know it’s been snowing like crazy all throughout the Midwest, including where I live, so I thought I do a round up up of winter related posts (or things you can do to prevent boredom.)
Mr. CBB writes How We Cash in On Unused Clutter in the Winter over at Canadian Budget Binder. I’ve actually been thinking about going through my yard sale pile and listing some items online. Easy way to earn some extra cash. Plus it would give me something to do since I’ve been stuck in the house so much lately.
- At Plunged In Debt Catherine talks about doing some Weekend Projects. Giving a room a mini makeover is something to do if you’re snowed in this weekend.
- If you’re looking for some unique personal finance articles to read check out Rockstar Finance. A few posts caught my eye, especially one about renting out your closet for money….interesting idea!
- A timely post from Laurie How to Save Money on Your Winter Heating Bill. Definitely a good read for those of you worrying about sky high heating bills.
- Brock from Clever Dude actually found himself in one of those snowed-in situations. You can read all about it: Stuck in a Snowstorm What Would You Do?
I hope y’all have a good weekend. Be safe!! If you’re sick of the snow I’m right there with ya!

Happy Friday! Thank you so much for mentioning my article on How to Save Money on Heating Bills. I read your bio and, what a great story! I grew up with very little money as well, and it really does impact a person, one way or another. Have a great weekend. :-)

Thanks for sharing my post. Just yesterday we picked up a few items we bought online from Kijiji and saved hundreds of dollars doing it. You can sell stuff any time of year and make a profit as long as you have the time and patience to do it. Cheers mate. MR.CBB
