Wow. That’s about all I can say when I watch this video. Boston Gal has a video on her site of a home being "trashed out" in California. Trash out is when a company comes in and removes all of the stuff that was left when a family has to leave their home due to foreclosure. I was shocked to see what people left behind.
I was also shocked to see neighborhoods where every house in a cul-de-sac was in foreclosure except for one. The one family that is left is paying a $3100 per month payment on a house that is probably worth less than $200. They originally bought the house for $399K. I was most struck with the devastation that these people must have felt when having to leave. It’s like cleaning up after a natural disaster. They lose many of their belongings and they lose their home. I’m sure a lot of the stuff was left behind due to the family’s inability to find somewhere to store it. It also bothered me that so many of these items go to the dump. I think the "trash out" company could do a better job of teaming with another firm to come salvage many of the things to avoid the landfill.
Anyway, go check out the video on Boston Gal’s site:

Wow, this video is an eye opener. I think everybody has to admit at this point that maybe America is not that capitalistic country when financial markets are propped up by the government. With dollars that are backed up by the same financial system, and military.

That’s such a sad thing. It just makes me more driven not to get myself stuck in a financial rut—it’s really very important for everyone to be able to manage their resources and finances wisely, otherwise things like these might happen and that’s really sad.
