This morning I was reading some of my normal PF blogs and saw a couple posts about “The Number”. It’s a book by Lee Eisenberg. So, the comments I left basically said, “I was offered a free book called The Number but I haven’t received it yet. Guess what showed up this evening.
So, now I have a little pressure to actually read it. Not a big deal since I can read at a first grade level. Okay, I can read at a 16th grade level (I guess it’s at a 16th grade level since I hold a BA.) The only problem is that I’ve been having trouble finishing “The World is Flat”. Not because I don’t like it. I think it’s a great book. Ever since I returned from England, it feels like I’m running at a faster clip. It probably has something to do with the job I’m doing at work right now. I’ve been getting some overtime which has been good for our Christmas budget. With the overtime I’ve worked, we can put all our budgeted Christmas money back in savings and just spend the overtime money. Besides the overtime, I think I’m just a lot more mentally wasted by the time I get home from work. Oh well. That’s what I get for taking so long to learn about compound interest and passive income.
So, I’ve got the new book, “The Number” and I’m going to read it. Don’t stay up all night checking the site for a review. It’s going to take awhile. Now that I’ve posted this, I’ll try to read it a bit quicker, just so I’m not a completely lame illiterate fool who never bothers to pick up and read a free book.
The Number is also sitting on my desk until finals are over. I expect 10 other reviews by the time I finish, so maybe I won’t have to actually read it myself ;)
